These days, you’ll hear people talking about “red flags”. This could be in relation to dating, workplaces, bosses, religious institutions, friends, professionals. 🚩
But, what about green flags? And how does this work in relation to parenting?
As such, I thought I’d do a quick post that focuses on the positives or “green flags” in parenting. 👋
Green Flag For Parenting:
They provide useful parenting advice (or no advice at all)
They offer to help or at least commiserate instead of criticizing
You don’t feel you have to provide a picture perfect view of your family
You can contact them in a crunch and they won’t judge you
They understand the way you want to parent
When you contac them, they listen and respond in an unbiased way
They celebrate your kids’ wins - even if they’re seemingly tiny
They remember and ask about your kids’ birthdays, grade changes, projects, health visits or challenges
Question: Do these points resonate with you? What green flags are important to you and your family?
Until next time, Digital Villagers…stay well.
Lisa
